Prof. Dora Edu-Buandoh

Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, an Associate Professor of English at the Department of English, the University of Cape Coast, holds a Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ from Komenda Training College; a Diploma of Education, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a Master of Philosophy Degree in English Language all from the University of Cape Coast. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (USA) and a PhD in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of Iowa (USA). She is a Fulbright Scholar, a DAAD Alumni and an Alumni of the Galilee International Management in Institute, Israel. She was the Coordinator of the Communicative Skills Unit, the Head of the Department of English, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and currently the Provost for the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, all at the University of Cape Coast. Her research interests are in Discourse Studies, Language and Ideology and Language and Identity. Prof. Edu-Buandoh has served on many institutional and national committees.

Dr. Alexis Akanson

Dr. Alexis Akanson is a Deputy Registrar with a background in educational leadership and administration in higher education. With experience in University management, Dr. Akanson has written several position papers and memos which have been adopted into University policy. The areas of research interest include leadership in higher education, leadership and innovation in education and organizational behavior. Dr. Akanson hold Ph.D Educational Leadership, FL, USA; M.Ed (Educational Management), Stirling, UK; B.A(Arts)Legon, Ghana)
