A former Head of the Department of Music and Dance, Dr. Mawuyram Q. Adjahoe, expressed gratitude to the band for the sterling performance. He urged students of the Department to take lessons from the band and continually rehearse vigorously so as to achieve similar feat. He appealed to management of the University to assist the Department to acquire new instruments for its teeming students.
The Coordinator of the performance, Bessa Simons, said the event was to share his experience in music and to motivate anyone, especially students in tertiary institutions aspiring to become a musician. He added that the band had already performed at some public universities in the country, adding that “we want to get other people who have written songs and want to get it out there to give us a variety well-arranged music.”
Mr. Simons called for other benevolent organisations to come to the assistance of the band in order to reach out to the up and coming musicians in tertiary institutions.
